Whatsoever you do to the least of these, you do unto me.

Chris, Ann, Liz, Connie and Judy display the hats, prayer shawls, lap robes,

watch caps, and sweaters that the knitting ladies produce.

We are the church that tends to its knitting!

From a small beginning several years ago, knitting sweaters for children through Guidepost Magazine, the church is now known for its knitting.  Several national companies have contributed yarn and even knitting machines to the church's many projects.

The most recent project the knitters of the church have undertaken is to knit 100 watch caps for the Seafarer's Friend Mission in Boston, Massachusetts.  Both hand and machine knitted, the hats were taken to the Annual Meeting this summer in Plymouth, Mass.  Check out the pictures on our Special Events page.

We also knit hats for cancer patients.  At the recent Cancer Survivor's walk, another basket of hats was donated to oncology services.
FCC members Jack Slivka, Fred Fullerton, and Ginger Burns Slivka volunteer at the Cape Coral Caring Center several times a week.

Interested in knitting?  Call Kim at church M-W-F from 9am-12noon for information on the next gathering!

Caring for our neighbors in need is one of the strengths of our church.

Whether gathering food for the Cape Coral Caring Center, reaching out to neighbors around the world through National Association missions, or knitting sweaters for children in need, our church nurtures a generous caring spirit within the congregation and individuals alike.
