In September of 2006, we owed
nearly $160,000 dollars on the mortgage on our church. We
decided that we needed to pay off that amount as quickly as
possible. The monthly mortgage payment of nearly $2,000.00
was a burden and a distraction from stewardship efforts that
could be better used for the work of God in the world.
By September 2008, the balance
will be down below $100,000, reduced by nearly $60,000 in two
years. With God's help and the work and sacrifice of many,
we hope to have the balance paid before the mortgage terms are
up in 2010. |
