FCC was founded as First Congregational Community Church of Cape Coral in 1989 by a group from a variety of church backgrounds who wished to gather in the Free Church tradition. The land that we occupy today was given to the church by the Masonic Lodge, our next-door neighbors, and the first building was completed in 1992. That building is now Andersen Hall, and is the "front door" that faces Santa Barbara Boulevard.
In 1998 the current sanctuary building was built, behind the original structure. Like close friends and family, we come in "the back door" to go to church.
